We have two hen’s; Nugget and Mr. Black (my son named them). We also have two chicks; not named yet. Our chickens are often running around the yard during the day and often I find them peeking in my back door, pecking at the door as if they were knocking and asking to be let in.
A blah week around our home. We’ve been dealing with a weird cold|flu that has you dealing with a fever on one day and the next day you feel better (although not quite 100%) and then you feel bad again the following day. Today was an up day, or so I thought, and so I dragged the kids to Volunteer Park to take photos in the water tower. It wasn’t easy. I love this place and hope to one day try this again.
side note; my friend Susan makes the most adorable kids clothing and the dress L is wearing gets comments all the time. You can find her store here.
I am taking a little weekend to myself at the W Hotel in Seattle. I’m just kicking back in the hotel being lazy, reading and spending chunks of time doing research on photography related items I am sometimes unable to do when I am at home. I’m feeling a little like Gracie kicking back on the sofa.
I recently finished an Editorial and Assignment class at Photo Center NW. This was the second class I took in the past 6 months. I learned so much about myself as a photographer. I learned my style, I learned to have more confidence, I learned a profound appreciation for the hard work that goes into being a photographer and I learned a lot about myself. I have grown significantly in so many ways thanks to my two classes and to my instructor (you can see his work here). I look forward to spending the next few months practicing what I’ve learned and trying new things.
My hairdresser has been encouraging me to use Moroccan Oil on my hair. I finally listened to her and purchased some yesterday. Love..love..love. My hair feels wonderful and no frizz! You can find out more about Moroccan Oil here.
